Borneo Child Aid has for more than 10 years been providing education to more than 2000 children of the sea-nomadic Bajau Laut on Borneo and in Tawi,Tawi, Philippines. Our organisation is presently running 23 mobile learning centres on remote islands in the Sulu Sea.
These children are mostly without other access to education due to poverty and lack of documentation.
For the cost of Euro 300 per month you can support a Learning Centre with about 50 children. Running a Learning Centre for a whole year of education costs only Euro 3600.
For the cost of only 7 Euro you can sponsor a child's education for one month. For a whole year the cost is Euro 84.

Torben has been working for more than 20 years with development aid, including running 132 school projects in Sabah Malaysia for plantation children and other stateless children. He has a background in anthropology and teaching.

Our teachers are trained teachers with a bachelor degree in teaching from a number of Philippine colleges. They all have deep roots in Southern Philippines and extensive knowledge of the children and their culture.
